After some time with the guys and the girls on their own it was finally time for the ceremony. It was also, apparently, time for the biggest rain storm that we had the entire week. It started to sprinkle just as Emily was walking down the aisle and came down harder and harder until we all finally got to take shelter after their first kiss!
After so many months of planning and dreaming some couples might have gone to pieces when faced with a rainy wedding but Emily and Ian took the lead and their positive attitude just rubbed off on our entire group. Their entire amazing bridal party took it all in stride to as we stood out in the rain capturing some of the most beautiful destination wedding photos I’ve ever had the pleasure of taking.

Ashley & Jeff Part 1 l Saskatoon Wedding Photography

Ashley is one of those people that you can’t help but like. The kind of person who has so much fun in front of the camera that it just inspires everyone around her. The morning started off with Quiche and Mimosas as the girls had their hair and makeup done at home. After a beautiful ceremony I was lucky enough to have a few hours to spend with her and her new husband. In between shots she would adjust Jeff’s tie or tell him how great he looked. She had some great ideas for shots that I was happy to use and I would have kept shooting for hours if they had let me.
Jeff is cool as a cucumber. I met up with the guys as they were finishing breakfast and they were very busy just hanging out in the backyard, in no particular hurry to do anything. After the ceremony he was happy to just make sure that his new wife got all the photos she wanted, laughing and just enjoying being with Ashley while I snapped away. His friends told some great stories about him during the reception and it’s obvious that everyone who calls him a friend is blessed to do so.
