I think it’s great how many couples are choosing to go with a simple ceremony for their weddings and backyard celebrations are one of my favorites!  After a beautiful start to the day in one of Saskatoon’s most stunning yards we were off to Krystle and Eric’s favorite watering hole for some of the most unique photos I’ve ever had the pleasure of taking.  After dinner I got to spend a few more minutes with this incredibly fun couple before they and their guests got their groove on back inside.

Allana and Dave’s big day was full of so many great details.  They decided to have their ceremony at the amphitheater by River Landing and this beautiful couple drew a big crowd who wanted to watch them share their vows.  Allana actually wore the same dress that both her Mom and Grandma were married in – how cool is that?!  It was so sweet to watch her parents walk her down the aisle, her Dad had the biggest smile on his face during the entire ceremony while her Mom held back tears on more than a few occasions.

Three cheers for online dating!!  A few years after Becky and I met on Eharmony her cousin found the man of her dreams on the very same site and this summer we were lucky enough to be a part of their big day.

They had a perfect country wedding – a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Cannington Manor, small town photos and an amazing home cooked meal at her parents farm.  It was so nice to get to be a part of the wedding as well as photograph it.  So often I hear people complain about how much time out of their schedules it takes to go to or help with a wedding but I loved it.  We were up late the night before setting up tables, getting the buffet line ready and putting the finishing touches on the tent.  That morning I got to have coffee with my father in law (another reason small town weddings are the best – the schedule is just a bit less hectic!), spend the day with family and even enjoy dinner with my niece and nephew.

Thanks again Bethann and Dave for giving everyone such a great day!  Enjoy the photos and you can check out a few more by Liking my Facebook page right here.
