what happens when you leave your son with the world’s coolest aunt and uncle?
they buy him the preppiest outfit they can possibly find and spend the afternoon with him in front of uncle kevin’s camera.
here is how I spent my sunday…..

so I don’t use the word cute alot. in fact, this is probably the first time the word has appeared on this blog.
but seriously, how cute is this?

after a long afternoon of making great photos he was ready for dinner.
brown rice cereal mixed with pureed blueberries and bananas. I’m not going to lie, it smelled awful.
but he seemed to have a good time with it.

I can’t remember the last time I had this much fun. I can’t remember seeing two people so in love with their child.
actually, the world miracle is what they used.

charlotte

charlotte was the perfect little model. her mom and dad had her all ready to go when I dropped by and the session couldn’t have gone better.
I love parents who have a list of shots they want me to get or have some unique ideas that really stretch my abilities as a photographer. at the same time it’s great when a couple invites me into their home and just wants me to use my ideas and I can start snapping away. it’s humbling to hear that they love what I’ve done and that they trust my eyes.
charlotte’s parents were just happy to let their beautiful daughter be the star of the show, stopping every few minutes to fix her hair and remind her that mom and dad were still around. they just stood back and watched her stare at the world around her…..smiling the whole time.

kate’s birthday
January 16th, 2010
usually I get to spend a few hours with a couple or family to help capture a special time in their lives. sometimes I’m lucky enough to visit a couple a few times and watch their little one grow up. then there are those amazing families who want to make sure that they remember all of the special moments in their lives.
I’ve watched lisa and dean proudly bring kate to a few sessions this past year and now it was time to celebrate her first birthday. their house was going to be filled to the brim and before the party started I dropped by to take a few shots of their special girl….

parker
January 16th, 2010
it’s funny how some things don’t change. a year ago I got to capture parker when he was just a few days old and it didn’t go quite as smoothly as mom and dad might have hoped. this little guy just wasn’t having a good day and we had to wait until he had a quick nap to finish our set. one year later he still doesn’t like being the centre of attention to much but after some snacks and a little time with his favorite toy we managed to quickly snap a few great shots…..
