Yardley emailed me a few weeks ago looking for someone to do an engagement session for her and her fiance Jared. They’re getting married in Mexico this winter but wanted some photos to help celebrate their engagement and she knew exactly what she wanted. Actually, she knew exactly what she didn’t want!
“I don’t want the usual Saskatchewan couples photos that are out in a field or down by the river. I want something unique!” She sent me a few ideas and I and after I found some locations that would be perfect I knew this would be a lot of fun for all of us! We met at Earls and they were definitely getting attention from everyone driving by. Jared looked like he was ready for the cover of Esquire and Yardley had heads turning every where we walked.
I think this is what a session like this should be – not just using ideas that you think you’re supposed to or what everyone else does. Pick something you will be proud of and absolutely love to look at and share.
There were far too many amazing shots to share here so you can take a look at a few more on my Facebook page - just click right here and hit the Like button when you get there to check them out.
Danielle & Andrew are getting married here in Saskatoon next Spring and on the Thanksgiving weekend we managed to sneak away from our holiday celebrations for their engagement session. With thoughts of turkey and Stove Top dancing in our heads we explored two of my favorite neighborhoods and captured some beautiful photos to celebrate this special time in their lives.
It was well worth holding back dinner for a few hours I think! They came prepared with a suitcase full of clothes after some serious shopping and definitely had everyone driving and walking by watching them as they enjoyed some time in front of the camera.
