Ashley & Trevor l Saskatoon Couple’s Photography

I’ve always wanted to do a 50′s themed shoot and I finally found a couple who was as excited about it as I was!

Ashley picked out a perfect 50′s style for her hair and found this great dress. She also happens to work at one of my favorite places in the world, Don’s Photo! Her and the rest of the staff are always there to answer my questions and help me out with anything I need. It’s one of the few places that has such great staff and service that I prefer to make a special trip to the store instead of buying what I need online!

Trevor, well Trevor is the kind of guy who can pull off white suspenders. Enough said.

I had way too many photos to choose from for the post so you can take a look at more of their photos right here in the slideshow!

I knew I would be laughing through most of this one.

One of the very first weddings I photographed was Hilary and Brett’s and they had me cracking up the entire time. If laughter is a key to a good marriage then these two could teach a class!

I’m so excited to be joining Emily and Ian in Mexico next year when they get married. What a nice change that will be from the chilly engagement photos we took this winter.

Emily and Hilary’s parents have raised two amazing (and photogenic!) girls and are blessed to add these two great guys to their family.

We met on a perfect summer night and just spent the night exploring the neighborhood. Ian told stories about the girls from when they were small and Christine wanted to make sure that she got a few shots with her son in law and son in law to be.  Emily and Ian excitedly talked about the new life they were starting including a great new home that will soon be theirs.

Brett was adamant that we end the night with a great jumping shot. Instead of the usual photo like this on a street somewhere we wandered over to the Ex grounds and they used the band shell as their launching pad.  After he showed everyone how to do it the whole family got in on the act and it was the perfect way to end this amazing session!

Shelby & James l Saskatoon Couples Photography

I met with Shelby and James earlier this summer and when we were talking about engagement photos James suggested that we do them at Anglin Lake. Shelby’s family has an amazing cabin that’s been in their family for three generations that’s right on the lake. The mosquitos were out in full force that night but the rain stayed away and we had an amazing time.

These two are one of those fun couples who just have no idea how beautiful they look together. They had some great ideas for their shoot; we started out with them all dressed up and looking amazing and then things got a bit more tense.

James is a huge Oilers fan and Shelby can always be heard cheering for the Flames (sorry James, I’m with Shelby on this one!) so they changed into their jerseys for a little fun. To finish the night off they took a canoe trip around the lake and then dove right in for some awesome sunset shots in the water!

I’ll say it again, how beautiful is this couple together?

Laura & Mike Gag Reel l Saskatoon Couples Photography

Monday, July 19th, 2010

As promised, here is my first ever gag reel! I was looking through the photos from the night as we were walking back to our cars and blurted out that I should put together a little prank post of all the funny shots that they wouldn’t necessarily put up on the wall and show off. I was kidding but they thought it was a great idea so here it is!

You can have a look at their beautiful enagement set right here.

A thousand thanks to Laura and Mike, you guys are the best and thank you for all of the amazing photos you created that I’m lucky enough to share here.
