almost four years ago Becky and I spent our honeymoon at the dreams puerto vallarta resort and spa. after months of struggling to make some headway through our fertility issues, long days at work and not quite being able to remember when we last had a week to ourselves we decided it was time for a holiday. being a photographer in saskatchewan means that summers are beyond busy so we thought we would kick the season off right with a week in paradise.

I could go on forever about how amazing our time in mexico was and how delicious the food was and on and on. but the real story for us that week was getting to know some of the staff at the resort a bit. I have never met a harder working group of people and they should be tremendously proud of the experience that they give their guests. we were simply never wanting for anything. the drinks were plentiful and the steaks always perfectly cooked. we didn’t have time to get bored, the hilarious entertainment crew made sure of that. our room was spotless every night when we got back from the beach and one of the girls even gave becks extra chocolates at turn down because she mentioned she liked them so much.

they even had guys who were up at 7 each morning raking every inch of the beach. they looked at me, the only tourist who gets up at 7 am on his week off, like I was crazy.

the guys from the entertainment crew got a hold of our camera during casino night…

we finished our week with a romantic dinner on the beach that the staff set up for us. I didn’t think it was possible for two people to eat as much lobster as we img_3930-2

did that night.
