sometimes I think I worry a little too much about preparing for shoots. don’t get me wrong, the hyper-organized part of me will always triple check my gear bag and battery life but I usually over-think how I’m going to get those ‘perfect’ shots. I have a big list in my head of poses to use, ideas to get the photos that I think the family will love.

then I get there and meet a beautiful family like this and realize that for all the planning I do, the ‘perfect’ shots always happen when I just let the family cuddle together, take a walk together or sit and watch their little one explore the great big world around them.

when I realize that, I think I can take the quotation marks away from the word perfect….
